Shortly before sunset, a beautiful sun pillar formed. A sun pillar is a shaft of light coming from a bright source, such as the sun. In this image, light from the sun is reflecting off millions of ice crystals. They are falling from the clouds to the Earth gently swaying in the air as they fall.
