Devils Tower really is in the middle of nowhere. That made it a perfect place to spend a few nights and image. You relax during the day and image during the night. The week I was there, the bikers rolled in from Sturgis on Wednesday. It was something to see. By nightfall, all but a few were gone. I could hear the roar of their bikes as they headed out. I planned on watching the Perseid meteor shower while I was there. The skies were clear, there was no moon and the stars were bright. That night, I saw the most meteors I have ever seen. I had the sky to myself. I wanted to wake the campground up to tell them what they were missing but I sometimes forget, people like to sleep at night!
