There is nothing like a clear night at Monument Valley. The sunset is incredible and the stars shine so brightly. Tonight I am watching the sun and the moon. Both are in the sky. The sun has just set and the moon is starting to rise. In between it all, the stars are coming out. The Mittens are silhouetted against the starry sky yet there is no mistaking what they are. A feeling of historical reminiscing is in the air. As I look around there is a feeling of the old west. I would have loved to have seen the night sky in the early 1900's. Something tells me at one time they probably wondered what this place would be like in 100 years. I bet we would both be surprised.
